Job Summary
Create model drawings and detailed construction drawings for homes using AutoCAD software. Draft designs from rough sketches, specifications, and engineering data received from sales and customers. Generate calculations and analysis for selected designs, showing dimensions and materials necessary to make drawings clear and complete. Confers with Production and Quality Control staff to resolve design details or problems, laying out, redesigning, and modifying home arrangements and interconnections. Submit limited approvals and detailed drawings to sales and third-party agencies for review. Utilize knowledge of commercial and residential building codes in the US to support designs and ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- AutoCAD software experience using 2015 or higher
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Team Player
- Quick Learner
- Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school which includes advance training in AutoCAD or two to five years' work experience using the AutoCAD software; or equivalent combination of education and training
- Must be familiar with commercial & residential building codes in the US
- Background check
- Drug Screen
