Job Summary
Transform engineering concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and documentation packages supporting production, purchasing, and quality processes. Create precise mechanical drawings using Autodesk Inventor with strong GD&T and dimensioning skills, developing complete drawing packages and managing revisions and document control procedures. Interpret engineering inputs into production-ready documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects and deadlines independently. This role supports a leading manufacturer of industrial flow control equipment in Southwest Houston, focusing on valve manufacturing and industrial equipment standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience creating detailed mechanical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Working knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning, and manufacturing documentation standards
- Ability to develop complete drawing packages and bills of materials with minimal supervision
- Experience interpreting engineering concepts and converting them into production-ready documentation
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with drawing revisions, engineering changes, and document control procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent drafting/design experience
