Drafter

Examine documents such as drawings, job files, change orders and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data according to architect’s drawing. Prepare layout drawings and a list of materials using CAD/AutoCAD software. Collect information from contract documents, codes, and reference drawings, resolving discrepancies with originators and compiling changes. Maintain and organize job files, verify dimensions and interference between elements, and incorporate adjustments from revised drawings. Post changes to records and notify affected departments; collaborate with Project Management on scope changes due to customer requests. Maintain a positive work atmosphere and provide customer support throughout the erection process, ensuring updated layouts per customer instructions using approved drawings. Use AutoCAD and related CAD tools; communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, clients, and supervisors. Adhere to EEO guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
