Job Summary
Create and modify architectural documents, designs, working drawings, forms, charts, and records using CAD software and equipment. Analyze current building codes, by-laws, and requirements to determine their impact on architectural drawings, while staying up-to-date on all relevant regulations. Acquire and assemble necessary information to complete drawings, including visiting job sites to gather measurements. Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Project. This in-office, full-time position in Suffolk County, LI, supports a leading provider of interior glass partitions and architectural metal and glass solutions specializing in innovative commercial and residential spaces. Candidates must submit a portfolio of past projects.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 1.5 + years' experience with computer-assisted drawing (CAD) software
- Specifically in Architectural Metal & Glass
- 1.5 + years' experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Project
- Outstanding communication skills
- Analyze current building codes, by-laws and requirements to establish how they affect architectural drawings, and stay up-to-date on all required and relevant codes
- Acquire and assemble information needed to finish architectural drawings, visiting job sites when necessary to gather measurements
- THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE; FULL-TIME POSITION
