Job Summary
Produce engineering drawings for manholes, vaults, and underground facilities using AutoCAD and GIS. Input, process, and maintain network underground data while participating in design reviews to ensure compliance with standards. Coordinate with engineers and vendors to resolve design issues, conduct site assessments, and submit locate requests via the 811 EDEN system. Create MUTCD-compliant traffic control diagrams and manage permitting requirements with municipalities. Support drafting and technical teams for construction, project management, and maintenance activities. Commute on-site four days with remote flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- AutoCAD training, experience, or certification
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for design and drafting
- Proficient in AutoCAD with foundational GIS knowledge
- Ability to translate design requirements into accurate 2D drawings
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player with strong problem-solving and self-starter mindset

- Availability to commute on-site four days a week, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Certificate in GIS
- Prior GIS application experience
- Experience creating network underground design drawings
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as Civil 3D
- Familiarity with GIS, CYME, and permitting processes (COA, GDOT)
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
