Job Summary
Optometric Technician supports the optometrist by performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams using optical equipment. Responsibilities include operating manual and auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT, following testing scripts, and maintaining a world-class Total Patient Experience while complying with HIPAA. The role requires interaction with patients and all levels of staff, strong patient-focused teamwork, and adaptability to weekend or schedule changes. Location-based work is in Cincinnati, OH, with work in a standard office/clinical setting; travel to other locations may be required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
