Job Summary
Optometric Technician to support an Optometrist with initial testing using optical equipment (manual and auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT) and to follow testing scripts. Role emphasizes delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience, HIPAA compliance, efficient use of equipment, and professional interaction with patients and staff. Responsibilities include general office duties, ensuring patient/doctor time is respected, potential weekend or extended scheduling, and occasional travel to other locations. Requires strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a high school diploma or GED. Travel to other locations may be required; prior medical/ophthalmic experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
