Job Summary
Prepare classrooms for lessons, clear them afterward, and assist with displaying student work while supporting supervising teachers in helping students understand instructions and curriculum. Maintain equipment and resources, manage student behavior, and report difficulties as appropriate. Comply with policies regarding child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality, while keeping accurate student records and contributing to meaningful conversations about equity and barriers to success. Work during non-scheduled class times at campus District elementary, middle school, or early childcare learning centers under the direction of teachers and school leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current DPS student
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community
- believe in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
