Job Summary
Conduct security dispatch operations by answering emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, dispatching personnel, and notifying outside law enforcement agencies. Maintain daily activity reports, prepare narrative and incident reports, and enter data into Security Management Software programs. Monitor intrusion detection alarms and video surveillance systems while ensuring accurate records of all events and calls. Analyze data to prepare reports for administration and the Security Department, and report deficiencies to the supervisor for improvements. Complete pre-screen background clearance and drug testing, with flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with at least 12 units of college completed
- Knowledge of the English Language and ability to pronounce words and sentencing clearly
- Maintain proficiency in all radio codes established by the Security Department
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Able to communicate orally and effectively
- Must possess written skills for preparing various documents required by security personnel
- Answer telephones and accurately maintain data for all alarm and access control systems
- Maintain accurate records and information for all dispatches and incidents using provided security management software
- Maintain strict privacy compliance for all data maintained by the Dispatch Center
- Provide superior customer service skills
- Able to work with supervision and/or independently
- Able to organize workload in order to meet deadlines
- Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians
- Capable of working on flexible schedules which may include some holidays and weekends
- Appearance Standards shall be in accordance with Security Department Policy (neat, clean)
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Rules, Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Directives, General Orders, and other documents as they relate to security duties and responsibilities of dispatch personnel
- All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearance and Drug Testing
Desired Qualifications
- Prior dispatch experience preferred
- POST Certified desirable
- Native American preferable
