Job Summary

Develop and maintain the organization's global privacy framework, policies, standards, and procedures while establishing governance structures including consent management systems. Lead the design and implementation of privacy-by-design principles and monitor emerging privacy laws in India and globally. Ensure compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, GDPR, and applicable international regulations by maintaining records of processing activities and managing data subject rights. Serve as the central point of contact for global subsidiaries, implementing privacy frameworks by partnering with local legal, compliance, HR, and business teams. Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new products and technologies, and develop frameworks for international data transfers. Review vendor contracts, conduct due diligence, and manage incident response and breach investigations. Develop and deliver privacy training programs across India and globally, conduct audits, and prepare management and Board reports on program effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Information Technology, Cyber security, Business Administration or related filed
  • 7-10 years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, legal, information security or risk management
  • Experience managing multi-jurisdiction privacy programs and supporting global operations and international subsidiaries
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with regulators and senior executives
  • Deep understanding of global privacy laws and regulations
  • Strong legal and regulatory interpretation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities
  • Experience managing cross-border data transfer issues
  • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multinational environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Program management and leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/A)
  • Certified Information Privacy manager
  • Relevant compliance or risk certifications
