Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment (dozer) on construction sites to move soil, rock, and debris; perform grading, land clearing, and site-prep tasks per project plans and grade stakes; conduct routine equipment inspections, lubrication, and daily upkeep; work closely with crew to meet deadlines and maintain safety and quality standards; interpret plans and follow supervisor instructions; remain aware of site conditions and coordinate with teammates to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a dozer or similar heavy equipment in construction, excavation, or land development.
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices and equipment operation standards.
- Ability to interpret grade markers, site plans, and direction from supervisors.
- Basic mechanical awareness and the ability to recognize equipment issues early.
- Good hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on project and location.
