Job Summary
Downstream Operator at ALPLA build a career in a global sustainability packaging leader. Main responsibilities include starting/stopping ronchi, hartness and labeler; making minor process adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency; performing regular quality control and visual checks; preparing machines for changeovers; adjusting speed and cycle times; troubleshooting; ensuring products meet specifications; accurately recording goods and problems; labeling and moving goods to the warehouse; maintaining accurate inventory and housekeeping; and supporting shipping and receiving in a team environment. Requires high school diploma, experience with ALPLA machinery or equivalent, forklift experience preferred, ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for 12 hours, multitask with different equipment, high cleanliness standards, basic computer skills, and demonstrated mechanical ability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1.5 years of experience as ALPLA Machine Operator I or at least 3 years equivalent experience
- Forklift or “Walk Behind” Forklift experience preferred
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours
- Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
- High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
