Downstream Oil & Gas Risk Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct on-site and desktop-based risk assessments of downstream and midstream energy assets globally, evaluating process safety, mechanical integrity, fire protection, and emergency response. Produce market reports detailing findings and engage daily with brokers to support bid presentations, insurance technical clarifications, maximum loss studies, and client roadshow presentations. Travel internationally to meet clients and assess infrastructure for factors including active and passive fire protection and process control. This role supports brokers and insurers in making informed decisions while helping clients secure effective insurance coverage within Gallagher's expanding team of risk engineers.
Required Qualifications
- some working knowledge/industrial experience of either downstream and/or midstream oil and gas assets
- experience with refineries
- experience with upgraders
- experience with gas plants
- experience with fractionators
- experience with LNG facilities
- experience with pipelines
- experience with compressor stations
- ability to travel globally to meet with clients
- ability to assess midstream & downstream assets for process safety
- ability to assess midstream & downstream assets for mechanical integrity
- ability to assess midstream & downstream assets for active & passive fire protection
- ability to assess midstream & downstream assets for process control
- ability to assess midstream & downstream assets for emergency response
- ability to produce a market report detailing findings of on-site risk assessment
