Roles include sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities, providing caregiver relief inside private residences, coordinating pet therapy visits with licensed dogs, playing guitar bedside for patients, and supporting bereavement through family calls and grief groups. Pre-med students may gain experience in gerontology patient care; remote grief support is also listed.
