DOWN RIVER Michigan Seeking Hospice Companion Volunteers (Non-Paid)

Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities and providing caregiver relief inside private residences. Offer pet therapy visits using already licensed dogs and play the guitar for patients. Support families through bereavement volunteer calls and assist with grief groups. Available for pre-med students seeking gerontology patient care experience and remote grief support. Submit to TB and drug tests and undergo fingerprinting. Located in the Down River Wayne County area serving Trenton, Riverview, and Southgate.
