Job Summary
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems. Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and standard operating procedures to support equipment installations, upgrades, and qualification activities. Adhere strictly to Micron safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols while partnering with technicians and engineers to meet manufacturing goals. This 90–180 day full-time on-site internship in Boise, ID or Manassas, VA, is unpaid under the DoD SkillsBridge program but includes housing support. Participants remain active-duty service members receiving military pay and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. service member approved for participation in the DoD SkillsBridge Program
- Background in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or maintenance disciplines (civilian or military)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
