Job Summary
The BU Safety Manager provides support to multiple BUs in an Area to assist in the development and implementation of loss prevention programs, safety objectives, policies, procedures and training; ensures loss prevention program compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations; leads training material preparation and supports safety meetings; partners with HR to minimize time away due to injuries; participates in investigations and inspections; offers guidance to leadership on safety practices and returns-to-work programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently serving, Active Duty, U.S. Armed Forces Servicemember
- Must be within one year of your End of Active Service transition date
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and participate in a fast-paced environment
- Effective task management skills
- High level of motivation
- Great attitude and desire to learn and grow
- Position requires providing safety-related training programs and ensuring compliance with OSHA, Federal and State DOT regulations
- Ability to collaborate with HR and Division management to minimize downtime due to injuries
