Job Summary
Oversee hauling-operations and fleet maintenance across multiple North Carolina locations. Lead and supervise drivers, helpers, and technicians to deliver Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while coordinating with the Operations Manager and General Manager. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, operational, regulatory, and ethics standards; drive budget achievement and functional excellence. Manage scheduling of preventive maintenance and repairs for trucks, containers, and heavy-duty equipment to minimize lost productivity and maintain uptime. Opportunities under the DOW SkillBridge program support transitioning military members; program participants continue military compensation and benefits during SkillBridge and may apply for paid positions afterward. This role emphasizes leadership, tactical execution, and process improvement within a utility/industrial fleet and hauling operation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently serving Active Duty in U.S. Armed Forces (military) within one year of End of Active Service transition date
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and participate in a fast-paced environment
- Effective task management skills
- High level of motivation
- Great attitude and desire to learn and grow
- Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations responsibilities include supervising collections activities across multiple lines of business (commercial, residential, roll-off, container delivery/pick up) and supervising drivers and helpers
- Fleet Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities include supervising a technician team for preventive maintenance/repair of fleet and equipment, planning and scheduling repairs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
