Job Summary
Provide regular home visits and contact with participants to offer mental health support, healing resources, and preparation for motherhood. Present and facilitate the agency's community-based Doula curriculum to address mental health challenges and empower participants. Complete assessments for new participants, assist in establishing goals and service plans, and refer individuals to community providers as needed. Maintain a caseload of 10 participants, including documentation for Medicaid billing, and attend births as requested while participating in the on-call system to back up traditional doulas. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or human services, two years of experience with children and families, and a valid driver's license. Part-time, 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate family needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or human service field
- Doula training
- Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health training within 18 months of hire
- At least 21 years of age
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children and families
- Ability to attend in-person family visits and meetings in the Rockford, IL area
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle
