Job Summary
Maneuver and position heavy dough troughs using proper body mechanics and equipment-assist tools to minimize idle time on the makeup line. Operate electric dough hoists and flour sifters, conducting pre-use inspections and reporting malfunctions per GMP protocols. Perform Statistical Process Control checks for dough weight, temperature, and consistency, while assisting with sheeter and depositor operations to maintain product integrity. Load flour sifters and carton formers following allergen segregation procedures, and maintain active Lockout/Tagout certification during cleaning and maintenance. Support sanitation schedules by cleaning equipment surfaces and floors, and collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks during shift transitions. Requires 1 year of food manufacturing experience and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial production environment
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working in a GMP or SQF-certified facility
- Prior exposure to dough or bulk material handling
