Job Summary
Provide and supervise nursing care for residents in the Bedford unit. Must hold an active RN or LVN license. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions; assigning tasks based on staff skill level; maintaining patient care standards; documenting nursing history and vital signs; implementing physicians' orders; developing care plans for safe and therapeutic patient care; enforcing infection-control policies; maintaining confidentiality; coordinating with nursing, medical staff, and other departments; recognizing changes in patient condition and notifying physicians; and responding appropriately in urgent or emergency situations. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current RN or LVN license
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
