Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairs; operate loaders, forklifts, trucks, material handlers and other equipment to troubleshoot; ensure all jobs are completed safely in plant/garage areas while wearing PPE; inspect vehicles for safety/operational defects using DOT/state checklists; ensure DOT manifests and paperwork are completed; perform trailer maintenance including electrical, tire changing and brakes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years previous DOT experience
- Electrical troubleshooting and installation skills
- Brake certification
- Valid drivers license with clean MVR
- No on-road preventable accidents during the past 3 years as shown on the MVR
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- Must be able to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly, and safely
- Must keep clean and safe work area and comply with all plant specific rules, procedures, and duties
