Job Summary
DOT Delivery Driver - Night Shift responsible for safe, on-time delivery of materials to contractors using box and flatbed trucks. Maintain DOT and Medical Certification, meet lifting and handling requirements (up to 80 lbs), and load/unload at stops. Communicate proactively with dispatch, support warehouse operations, and ensure route accuracy and compliance with DOT regulations. Second-shift role (6:00pm–2:00am) with emphasis on reliability, professionalism, and customer service. Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, current DOT/Medical certifications, 3+ years driving with clean MVR, ability to operate manual/automatic transmissions, knowledge of air brake systems, forklift certification preferred, and willingness to assist in warehouse duties. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current DOT certification and Medical Certification cards required
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to drive box and flatbed trucks with manual and automatic transmissions
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Forklift certification preferred
- Flexibility for second-shift work as needed
- Strong verbal communication skills; ability to represent Shepherd professionally at every stop
- Familiarity with Richmond-area routes preferred
