Job Summary
Design and develop specialized treatment planning programs for malignant tumors using Varian Eclipse IMRT/VMAT and Philips Pinnacle systems. Advise physicians on treatment techniques, devise alternative strategies, and coordinate with the healthcare team to optimize radiation therapy delivery. Perform clinical dosimetry measurements, routine quality control tests on linear accelerators and simulators, and verify patient charts for accuracy. Assist in fabricating treatment blocks, maintain the ARIA patient database, and support quality assurance processes for treatment planning equipment. Provide support to the Chief Therapist and Medical Physicist on complex setups and staff education.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Medical Dosimetry within US
- U.S. Citizen
- Board Therapy and Certified Medical Dosimetrist through the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (AMDCB)
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiation Therapy certified
- Minimum of 5 yrs experience (within last year) working as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist
- Experience with Varian Aria/Eclipse
- Experience with External beam treatment plan with Varian Eclipse and Philips Pinnacle
- Experience with Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT)
- Experience with Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT)
- Experience with Stereotactic Radio Surgery (SRS)
- Experience with Stereotactic Boy Radiosurgery (SBRT)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination
- Screening for tuberculosis (TB)
- Documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination
- Good personal hygiene and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance
- Subject to a background/security investigation
- Pre-employment drug screening

- Monday-Friday, 0730 - 1600
- No Overtime
- No Overage
- No Oncall
- Will NOT be required to work holiday
