Job Summary
Designs treatment plans for cancer patients using prescribed radiation doses, collaborating with radiation oncologists and medical physicists. Responsible for computations ensuring accurate radiation delivery, outlines critical structures, and participates in simulations. Requires proficiency in image registration with CT, MRI, and PET images, and assists in the production of immobilization devices and other beam modifying apparatus. Documents patient records accurately and educates colleagues and students in medical dosimetry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in medical Dosimetry or equivalent degree
- Graduation from a Medical Dosimetry JRCERT accredited program of at least 12 months required
- CMD - Certified Medical Dosimetrist or eligible to sit for the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) Examination and pass exam upon hire required
