Job Summary
Contribute to planning, developing, and coordinating engineering projects while providing specialized technical assistance to team members. Use advanced techniques to develop technical solutions for doors, mechanisms, and crew equipment systems, determining approaches that meet schedule and cost objectives. Act as a liaison with external representatives to support Gulfstream product development and production. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five years in a technical discipline, with proficiency in Catia V5 and SmarTeam.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum
- Five (5) years in specific technical discipline
- 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor's
- Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters
- Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 4 years for PhD
- Catia V5
- SmarTeam / Team Center
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical or Aerospace engineer with design experience
- Previous Gulfstream experience
- Experience in Doors & Mechanisms: Main entry, emergency exit, landing gear, service, and access doors
- Experience in Doors & Mechanisms: Drive mechanisms, metallic and composite structure, seals
- Experience in Doors & Mechanisms: Ingress / egress, placarding
- Experience in Doors & Mechanisms: Hydraulic actuators and dampers
- Experience in Doors & Mechanisms: Kinematics
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Electrical equipment installations
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Flight deck layout & equipment
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Cabin insulation
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Flammability
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Component qualification
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Closeout panels and composites
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Electrical bonding
- Experience in Crew & Equipment: Secondary structure including racks, trays, shelves, and bracketry
