Job Summary
Build cabinet doors and drawer fronts according to specifications and quality standards while setting up and operating woodworking machinery safely. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete production tasks, reading blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, reporting equipment issues or safety concerns to management promptly. Assist the assembly team with production needs during slower periods and support the team with additional shop duties as assigned. Work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Out of the Woods in Layton, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, woodworking, construction, or similar shop environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and measurements.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to cross-train and learn additional shop processes.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Regular standing for extended periods throughout the workday
- Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and moving materials
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and closed-toe shoes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating woodworking machinery is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, equipment, and shop practices is preferred.
