Job Summary
As the first point of contact for clients and visitors at Operation New Hope, the Door Attendant provides security and high-level customer service to clients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include greeting and directing entry traffic, monitoring security cameras, enforcing staff and visitor policies, maintaining a clean lobby, assisting with enrollment applications, and connecting clients to community resources to support re-entry after incarceration. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, excellent customer service, calmness under pressure, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to ethical standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license are required, along with the ability to pass a Level I background check and lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- At least 4 years of Door Attendant, Basic Office Security, or High Traffic Customer Service experience required
- Experience with marginalized or underserved populations preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Must be able to clear a Level I Background check through the Department of Corrections
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
