Job Summary
Lead and manage the Door and Window division within a building materials distributor. Responsible for the division's overall performance, including sales growth, operations management, vendor partnerships, purchasing, inventory, pricing strategy, profitability, and team leadership. Drive revenue growth through strategic planning, contractor-focused sales initiatives, and market development while building and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, vendors, contractors, builders, and key customers. Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability, oversee product availability and supplier performance, collaborate with sales teams on large quotations, monitor financial performance, margins, and operational metrics, support product line expansion and new product introductions, and ensure high levels of service.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in the door, window, millwork, building materials, fenestration, or related distribution industry
- Leadership experience managing sales, operations, branch, department, or business unit personnel
- Strong knowledge of residential door and window products, manufacturers, distribution channels, and contractor-focused sales environments
- Experience working directly with manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, contractors, builders, and dealer networks
- Knowledge of pricing strategy, margin management, purchasing, inventory control, and profitability management
- Experience leading teams and driving accountability, performance improvement, and business growth
- Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives
- Experience supporting contractor, builder, remodeling, or construction-focused customer bases
- Strong communication, relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing customer issues and delivering exceptional service
