Job Summary
Donor Technician at Avera McKennan Hospital collects blood from donors in accordance with FDA guidelines using whole blood and apheresis, processes components per cGMP, and ensures donor safety and comfort. Responsibilities include donor registration, interviewing and vital signs, performing donor collections (including apheresis) on-site and on the mobile unit across SD, MN, and IA, labeling and transporting blood units, troubleshooting quality issues, and maintaining records and documentation. Requires High School or GED; Associate's degree or technical certificate preferred; 1-3 years phlebotomy/apheresis experience highly desired. Schedule is rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends; potential $2,000 sign-on bonus. Must adhere to safety standards, CMS/JCAHO/OSHA guidelines, and quality assurance processes; strong teamwork and communication are essential.
Required Qualifications

- 1-3 years Related phlebotomy experience plus hands-on training in apheresis blood collection
