Job Summary
Donor Specialist - Mobile Operations providing customer-focused donor registration, donor interviews, and phlebotomy across multiple donation sites. Responsibilities include performing pre-donation assessments (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin), preparing samples for transport, recruiting donors to Blood Bank Programs (e.g., Apheresis) and events, executing QC on instruments, and completing thorough documentation. Requires ability to perform venipunctures, work in laboratory/medical environments, and maintain confidentiality while delivering accurate, timely service. Must have High School diploma/GED (optional certifications welcomed), CPR, and California driver's license; 1-2 years of customer service preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Optional: Medical Assistant Diploma, Certified Nursing Assistant Diploma, Emergency Medical Technician Certificate, Phlebotomy Certificate or similar military experience/certification
- Current CPR Certification
- Current California Driver’s license
- One to two years’ customer service experience preferred
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to drive a standard vehicle
- Knowledge of basic computer operation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
