Job Summary
Examine and grade donated goods to sell in retail stores, processing inventory in an accelerated manner while adhering to standard operating procedures. Properly sort donations into designated categories, maintain a neat and organized donor door area, and assist truck drivers with loading and unloading. Provide donation receipts to guests, answer questions, and resolve problems by following agency procedures. Always display a professional, patient, and people-first attitude while consistently performing tasks according to training playbooks. Adhere to safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management. Complete all required trainings and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic math and reading skills
- Must have good oral and written communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills
- Must be 18 years or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift
- Must start employment in acceptable safety work shoes
- Must be able to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold and dust
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs with or without accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- One year or more (1+ years) of production experienced preferred
