Job Summary
Provides donor registration, phlebotomy, and donor-care tasks across multiple draw locations; performs pre-donation testing (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin), interviews donors regarding medical history, conducts donor phlebotomy for allogeneic and directed whole-blood collection, monitors donor recovery and adverse reactions, and carries out daily equipment/setup and quality control; maintains thorough documentation and actively recruits donors to blood bank programs and promotions; requires strong customer service skills and ability to work in laboratory/medical environments; education includes a high school diploma or GED with preferred certifications in phlebotomy, EMT, or nursing assistance, CPR, and valid California driver’s license; physical demands noted and LifeStream is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Emergency Medical Technician Certificate (if applicable)
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certified Nursing Assistant Diploma (if applicable)
- Phlebotomy Certificate (if applicable)
- Current CPR Certification
- Current California Driver’s license
