Job Summary
Donor Specialist responsible for donor registration, interviewing, phlebotomy for Allogeneic and Directed Whole Blood, post-donation care, and QA/documentation across multiple draw locations. Performs vital signs and basic tests (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin), prepares pre-donation samples, conducts donor interviews regarding medical history, monitors donor recovery and adverse reactions, and completes required records. Leads equipment and supply setup, performs routine quality control on specified instruments, recruits donors to programs, and works at designated draw sites in Murrieta, CA. Requires excellent customer service and ability to work with blood, follow procedures, and maintain confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Phlebotomy Certificate or equivalent (required)
- Current CPR Certification (required)
- Current California Driver’s license (required)
- Ability to lift 30 pounds (required)
- Experience in customer service (1-2 years preferred)
