Job Summary
Provide donor registration and interviews, perform phlebotomy for allogeneic and directed whole blood, monitor donor recovery and manage adverse donor reactions, and conduct quality control and documentation across multiple draw locations. Responsibilities include performing tests (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin), preparing pre-donation samples, recruiting donors for programs (e.g., Apheresis), ensuring proper handling of blood units, and maintaining excellent customer service and confidentiality in laboratory and mobile operation settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current California Driver’s license
- CPR Certification
- Phlebotomy Certificate (if applicable) or similar certification
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant Diploma (if applicable) or EMT (if applicable)
