Donor Services Technician (Taylors)

Job Summary
Greet donors and guests to establish rapport, perform computer verification, and assess donor eligibility through medical history and physical exams. Conduct donor health history and physical assessments per standard operating procedures, select proper collection materials, and escort donors through the process while maintaining a clean, organized store front. Communicate organizational values, engage donors in conversation, and report any observations that may impact the donor experience. Perform reception duties, stock the screening room, and support blood drives as assigned. Work varied hours including weekends with potential schedule changes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
- Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
- Lifting and/or pulling/pushing up to 50 pounds
- Sitting, standing, or walking for an extended period
- Bending and twisting
- Must be able to work varied hours including working some weekends
- Must be able to adapt to a work schedule that may change with less than 24 hours' notice
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred
