Donor Services Technician (Cary)

Job Summary
Greet donors and guests, perform donor history and physical assessments, and verify eligibility through computer systems and medical screening. Escort donors through collection phases, maintain store front cleanliness, and manage reception and telephone duties. Communicate organizational values, engage donors in conversation, and report observations or dissatisfaction to management. Participate in blood drives and perform donor collection support tasks as assigned. Requires valid driver's license, ability to work varied hours including weekends, and completion of TBC Donation Experience Training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
- Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
- Lifting and/or pulling/pushing up to 50 pounds
- Sitting, standing, or walking for an extended period
- Bending and twisting
- Must be able to work varied hours including working some weekends
- Must be able to adapt to a work schedule that may change with less than 24 hours' notice
Desired Qualifications
