Donor Service Representative - Part Time

Job Summary
Greets donors professionally, assists with unloading vehicles, issues receipts, and politely refuses items on the "thanks, but no thanks" list. Completes donor tracking paperwork accurately and submits it in a timely manner. Sterilizes items following safety precautions and prices hard goods as needed. Supports the transportation department by loading and unloading trucks, collecting and distributing materials, and removing trash and salvage from store areas. Maintains a clean and orderly production, donor, and outside areas while adhering to all safety requirements and reporting hazards to the Production Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to speak, hear, read and write
- Ability to speak English in order to interact with donors and customers satisfactorily
- Must present a neat and positive appearance and demeanor
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Must be able to stand for extended period
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
- Ability to push and pull various carts requiring a force of 50 pounds a distance of 100 feet for 25% of the shift
- Ability to push and pull manual pallet jacks with gaylords or other material requiring a force of 60 pounds a distance of 100 feet for 25% of the shift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground level to waist level at least 80 times during the course of an entire shift
- Ability to repeatedly bend forward or to the side 60 degrees to remove or place items into various carts and gaylords for 50% of the shift
- Ability to step up 24 inches onto forklifts and/or onto the lift forks slots of trash dumpsters up to 25% of shift
- Ability to raise hands above the head to open trash dumpsters for 10% of the shift
- Ability to stand continuously for more than 75% of the shift
- Visual and hearing acuity (with correction) that meets standard vision and hearing test criteria
- Possession of a forklift license or the ability to become certified as a forklift operator
