Job Summary
Recruit blood donors by managing collection status, developing promotional campaigns, and conducting tailored presentations to inspire participation. Coordinate drive setups with mobile staff, project blood drive goals, and perform post-drive assessments while maintaining regulatory compliance with AABB, FDA, and OSHA standards. Deliver excellent customer service to donors, patients, and corporate contacts while adapting communication styles to diverse populations. Requires flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to travel between facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years related experience
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Customer service skills necessary in order to deal professionally, effectively and courteously with co-workers, corporate chairpersons, donors and the general public
- Self-motivated and self-directed to meet organizational and departmental missions
- Organizational and prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines and to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Skills to creates and conducts educational activities and persuasive presentations regarding blood component needs in order to encourage participation in blood drive activities before a broad spectrum of audiences
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel between and throughout facilities and movile locations
- Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts while accepting variation in schedule and workload
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity
- Must be able work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities
