Job Summary
Greets and assists donors by safely unloading vehicles using team lifts, then sorts donations into correct categories and maintains accurate daily counts. Operates power equipment including stackers, pallet jacks, compactors, and forklifts to load trailers and replace labeled gaylords. Keeps the backroom clean and organized by completing checklists and assisting with general cleaning tasks in the donation drop-off lane. Requires fluent English, basic math skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends. This role supports Goodwill NCW's mission of elevating people by eliminating barriers to employment across north-central Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight; using a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
- 18 years or older
