Job Summary
As a Donor Center Technician I, you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain high customer service standards, and support donor safety and comfort. Responsibilities include monitoring donor conditions, maintaining equipment, conducting donor eligibility evaluations, and managing plasma collection and storage processes. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to operate automated machines and handle biohazardous materials. High school diploma or GED is required, along with basic computer skills and effective customer service abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required
- Effective communication skills required
Desired Qualifications
- Three months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis
- Attendance and punctuality required
