Job Summary
The Donor Center Technician I is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high levels of customer service, cleanliness, and proper equipment maintenance. This role includes monitoring donor conditions for comfort and safety, conducting donor eligibility evaluations, and performing plasma collection procedures. The technician handles product processing and storage while ensuring accurate record-keeping and responding to equipment alerts. The position requires effective communication, organizational skills, and basic computer knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis.
- Attendance and punctuality required.
