Job Summary
The role of Donor Center Technician I involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while providing a high level of customer service and maintaining a clean work environment. Responsibilities include monitoring donor conditions, performing donor evaluations, managing plasma collection procedures, handling product processing, and maintaining equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills, and be able to understand and follow safety regulations. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis.
