Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Donor Center Technician I responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining customer service and donor experience. Duties include monitoring donor conditions, equipment maintenance, performing donor evaluations, and managing record keeping. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and basic computer knowledge. The position requires physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and to work in environments exposed to blood borne pathogens and extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis.
