Donor Center Technician I

Job Summary
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all operations while maintaining high customer service standards and a clean working environment. Responsibilities include performing eligibility checks for donors, overseeing plasma collection and processing, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining accurate records. Must be comfortable working with potential biohazardous materials, operate various machinery, and maintain donor confidentiality. Attend to donor needs during procedures and maintain equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
