Job Summary
The Donor Center Technician I ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while providing excellent customer service and a positive donor experience. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of the work area, monitoring donor conditions for comfort and safety, maintaining donor confidentiality, and performing record keeping. The role involves troubleshooting machine alarms, cleaning spills, and adhering to standard operating procedures during plasma collection and product processing. Candidates must have a high school diploma, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis.
- Attendance and punctuality required.
