Job Summary
As a Donor Center Technician I, you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding plasma donation and maintain high standards for donor experience. Responsibilities include monitoring donor conditions, conducting vitals evaluations, maintaining cleanliness, operating plasmapheresis equipment, managing donor records, and handling product processing and packaging. You will also be tasked with performing quality control checks on equipment, maintaining donor confidentiality, and troubleshooting equipment issues. Key qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and strong customer service and organizational skills. This role is physically demanding and requires adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis.
- Attendance and punctuality required.
