Job Summary
The Donor Center Technician I is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high levels of customer service and donor experiences, and ensuring cleanliness in the work area. Key responsibilities include monitoring donor conditions, maintaining donor confidentiality, troubleshooting equipment, and performing quality control procedures. The technician must evaluate donor eligibility, perform vitals evaluations, and set up equipment for plasmapheresis procedures. The role requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required.
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.

- Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
