Job Summary
Phlebotomist at the American Red Cross Donor Center performing blood collection at fixed-site locations. You will connect with donors, create a welcoming environment, and follow safety procedures to ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be transfused. Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow your healthcare skills within the organization. The role requires collaboration with teammates, detailed-oriented work, and the ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays across multiple donor centers in the DC/MD/VA area. Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience is preferred, and associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required
- Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
- Basic computer skills are required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) preferred
