Job Summary
Collect lifesaving blood donations at fixed site locations by personally connecting with volunteer donors, listening to their stories, and explaining the impact of their contribution. Collaborate with teammates to maintain a welcoming environment while following all safety procedures to ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements for safe transfusion. Be detail-oriented throughout the shift to support accurate data entry and donor comfort. This role requires variable hours including weekends and holidays, with paid training provided for those without prior medical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree OR a combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting
- Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Variable hours; 4 x 10 hour shifts
- Two consecutive days off
- Weekends required at least twice per month
- Early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience
